Position: Payroll / HR

The HR/Payroll Manager supports the company’s growth by performing all HR related duties on a professional level and works closely with Leadership in supporting all branches. The role is responsible for payroll as well as support in benefits administration, employee relations, training coordination, performance management, onboarding /off boarding, policy implementation, and talent acquisition. FOR IMMEDIATE HIRE

Responsibilities
  • Must be proficient in Quickbooks Desktop or Online
  • Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing system to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, garnishments, taxes and other deductions weekly
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates or taxes
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports with discretion
  • In charge of open enrollment, safety meetings, company parties
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
  • Investigates and resolves any payroll discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Runs reports upon request
  • Generates and audits W-2s, 1099s, 940s, 941s
  • Manage timecard reviews, tax setups, and benefit deductions to align with pay periods.
  • Track Paid Time Off requests
  • Conduct audits for HSA and 401(k) plans to ensure compliance and accurate contributions.
  • Balances and submits month-end, quarter-end, and year-end state and federal taxes
  • Remains current on tax and garnishment laws in Utah
  • Administer all onboard paperwork including I-9 and E-Verify
  • Train new hires on key mobile apps like Quickbooks Time and our safety app Tyfoom
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
  • Respond to requests for employment verification and document production.
  • Review and respond to unemployment claims and dispute claims as needed.
  • Reconcile and pay benefits statements
  • Handle Auto, General Liability, and Worker’s Compensation Claims

Facilitate the registration and management of employee benefits, payroll, and other employee-facing functions.

Qualifications

1–3 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on payroll, benefits, and other HR operations.

Demonstrated understanding of employment laws and regulations.

Experience with Quickbooks is required.

Experience with Employee Navigator helpful.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook

Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
