Job Description SummaryIntermountain Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Mammography Technologist to join our team at Riverton Hospital on a PRN basis. In this role, you will perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams using specialized imaging equipment and collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality imaging and exceptional patient care.
Essential Functions- Maintain ARRT certification and modality‑specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
- Ensure accurate patient identification, order verification, and prepare patients for exams.
- Perform mammography exams per department protocols, including advanced procedures such as stereotactic biopsies, clip placements, and drainages.
- Demonstrate proper positioning techniques and operate equipment to produce high‑quality diagnostic images.
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment.
- Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and address concerns with empathy.
- Practice infection control and sterile techniques.
- Complete documentation accurately, including patient records and procedure details.
- Follow protocols for coding, charging, consents, quality control, and equipment reporting.

- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT certification
- State Radiologic Technologist license
- BLS certification for healthcare providers
- ARRT Mammography certification or enrollment in formal mammography training
Hourly rate: $35.25 – $54.39 (dependent on experience)
