Syndicate is a growing organization that provides shared services and operational support to multiple affiliated entities. Our accounting team plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and scalable processes across the organization.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates, soon-to-graduate students, or early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. You will support day-to-day accounting operations while learning from experienced professionals in a collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Support accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) processes, including invoice processing and collections
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including accruals and adjustments
- Help prepare financial reports, balance sheets, and profit/loss statements
- Ensure compliance with company policies and basic GAAP principles
- Collaborate with the team on audits, budgeting, and ad-hoc financial analysis
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (recent or soon to be graduates encouraged to apply) - Please include your anticipated graduation date on your application
- 0-2 years of relevant experience (internships in accounting or finance are a plus)
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Odoo, or similar) is preferred but not required—we provide training
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with GAAP
- Experience with data entry or financial software
