We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and operationally driven Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of our company vehicle fleet.

This is not a mechanic role — it is a leadership-level operational position responsible for coordination, compliance, readiness, and continuous fleet optimization. What You Will Own Fleet Administration & Compliance
  • Manage vehicle registrations, titling, renewals, and insurance documentation
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready fleet records
  • Ensure compliance with state and local regulations
  • Oversee telematics systems and fleet portals to maintain data integrity
Maintenance Scheduling & Vendor Coordination
  • Create and enforce preventive maintenance schedules
  • Coordinate repairs with approved vendors
  • Track service invoices and maintenance costs
  • Manage shop time, rental vehicles, and technician accountability
  • Ensure vehicles meet safety and performance standards
Fleet Readiness & Equipment Management
  • Inspect vans for cleanliness and operational readiness
  • Ensure required equipment is stocked and functional (GPS/telematics devices, safety kits, tools, snow chains, spare tires, etc.)
  • Maintain supply inventory to support consistent deployment
Onboarding & Training
  • Lead the fleet segment of new technician onboarding
  • Educate employees on vehicle policies, safe driving expectations, and accountability standards
  • Train on telematics usage, vehicle care, and safety protocols
  • Partner with HR and Safety to ensure alignment with company standards
Vehicle Allocation & Return Logistics
  • Assign vehicles to new hires and transferring employees
  • Oversee vehicle return inspections, cleaning, repairs, and redeployment
  • Maintain a fleet rotation strategy to minimize downtime
Reporting & Fleet Optimization
  • Provide reporting on fleet condition, compliance, incidents, and cost trends
  • Collaborate with Operations and Safety leaders to reduce violations and extend vehicle life
  • Use telematics data to drive measurable improvements
What Success Looks Like
  • Compliance accuracy for registrations, inspections, and insurance
  • Preventive maintenance adherence and downtime reduction
  • Vehicle readiness rate for onboarding
  • Reduction of driving-related violations
  • Quality and timeliness of reporting
  • Cost management and operational optimization
Qualifications Required:
  • 3+ years of fleet coordination, fleet administration, logistics, or operational experience
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Experience managing vendors and compliance deadlines
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of vehicle systems and maintenance intervals
  • Experience with fleet management software and telematics systems
  • Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
Preferred:
  • Experience managing a commercial or service vehicle fleet
  • Knowledge of motor vehicle regulations and fleet safety best practices
  • Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and data-driven reporting
Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our Riverside, MO office. In-person collaboration is essential. Responsibilities include office-based administrative work as well as hands-on vehicle inspections. The role may require lifting up to 40 pounds, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and occasional evening or weekend support for onboarding or urgent fleet needs. Standard business hours are Monday through Friday.
