We’re looking for a Workforce Development Program Manager to design, launch, and lead workforce development initiatives that power our technician and field operations for years to come. This is not a maintenance role. - Lead Workforce Development Strategy
- Design and execute Velociti’s long-term workforce development strategy aligned with business growth.
- Build clear, structured career pathways and progression models—especially for technician and field-based roles.
- Define skill milestones, competencies, and readiness standards aligned with safety, technology, and operational excellence.
- Build Training & Career Pathways
- Partner with Operations, Safety, Technology, and HR to develop relevant, job-ready training curricula.
- Create certification, credentialing, and internal badging programs tied to real-world performance.
- Ensure learning programs translate directly to field readiness and career advancement.
- Create Education & Community Partnerships
- Build strong pipelines through partnerships with high schools, technical schools, colleges, and universities.
- Collaborate on custom coursework, certifications, and programs designed specifically for Velociti roles.
- Represent Velociti at career fairs, advisory boards, outreach events, and community initiatives.
- Develop Early-Career & Talent Pipeline Programs
- Design and launch internships, apprenticeships, co-ops, and pre-employment training programs.
- Generate sustained interest in technical careers at Velociti.
- Partner closely with recruiting to align development programs with hiring needs.
- Drive Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Introduce experiential learning, cross-training, and creative development solutions.
- Explore extended initiatives such as entrepreneurial or XP-based programs where applicable.
- Track outcomes, measure impact, and continuously refine programs for maximum effectiveness.
- Successful launch and adoption of workforce development programs.
- Increased internal mobility and readiness for advanced technical roles.
- Strong, sustainable education and community partnerships.
- Growing external interest in Velociti career pathways.
- Positive feedback from employees, leaders, and partners.
- Measurable contribution to long-term workforce stability and capability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, HR, Organizational Development, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in management consulting, workforce development, or large-scale program leadership.
- Proven ability to think big, build from scratch, and lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong program and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfort working across corporate offices, field environments, and external partner locations.
