Ideal

Candidate

Passionate, motivated, and resourceful. You embrace entrepreneurial spirit, forward thinking, and a positive energy that fuels problem‑solving on the fly. You care about the environment, have a foundational understanding of recycling, composting, and circularity (or a willingness to learn), and enjoy teamwork and education.

The Role

Morton Amphitheater is seeking a Venue Sustainability Crew member to enhance our sustainability program in 2026. This seasonal, part‑time position works under the Venue Sustainability Manager and contributes to Live Nation’s resource‑recovery and circularity goals by ensuring maximum landfill diversion, educating fans and staff, and supporting the venue’s sustainability culture. Hours vary with the show schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in Venue Sustainability Crew onboarding and training.
  • Assist in mid‑ and post‑show waste sorting for recycling, composting, donations, and landfill materials.
  • Be available on show days and non‑show days, weekdays and weekends, to ensure all waste is sorted and diverted.
  • Assist the Venue Sustainability Manager and Supervisor with educational support to all venue crew members and fans.
  • Maintain a clean sorting area and support post‑show pick‑up after events, even if shifts occur after a show.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the Venue Sustainability Manager on an as‑needed basis.
Qualifications
  • 90% of a show day is spent walking, bending, reaching, stooping, lifting, and carrying, often 50+ lbs.
  • Will not be deterred by unpleasant odors or getting dirty.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in variable weather.
  • Strong time‑management skills and reliability, including late‑night shifts.
  • Dedication to making a real and immediate impact on sustainability.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration with other departments.
  • Positive attitude, creative thinking, and problem‑solving ability.
  • Experience with zero‑waste or event sustainability events is a plus.
