Pay
: $32‑48/hr

The Field Technician II will inspect, test, and maintain high, medium, and low electrical power equipment, implement safety policies, and work with a range of equipment such as SF6 and vacuum circuit breakers, transformers, grounding, instrument transformers, and switches.
Responsibilities- Perform entry‑level testing of high, medium, and low electrical power equipment independently while working with senior technicians.
- Consult manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering personnel to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems.
- Prepare and maintain reports detailing all tests, repairs, and maintenance performed.
- Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean equipment and components.
- Pass a pre‑employment drug screen.
- Pass a satisfactory criminal background check.
- Work overtime and travel out of town when required.
- Hold a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with voltage verification, contact resistance, insulation resistance, test equipment set‑up, reading one‑line drawings, and understanding equipment identification and hazards.
- Hands‑on knowledge of LOTO, Arc Flash, grounding, reading electrical schematics, and testing breakers, transformers, CTs, PTs, cables, and grounding systems.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology, or equivalent military experience.
- 2–4 years of relevant industry experience.
- NETA II certification.
- Climb ladders, stand for extended periods, lift up to 70 lbs.
