Position Type:
Classified Management/Supervisor, Full‑Time, 12‑month.
Salary:
Grade O ($106,113 - $129,192 annually).

Basic Function: Deliver a first‑class Food Service program, manage daily operations, schedule employees, and operate within budget, ensuring prompt, courteous, professional service.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesSupervises classified staff, students, and hourly workers.
EducationHigh school diploma required. Two years of college in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or Business Administration, or equivalent through experience.
ExperienceTwo years of food service supervisory or management experience; experience in a college environment desired.
KnowledgeFood service budgeting, financial data handling, campus mission and values, interpersonal communications.
AbilitiesTrain staff in quantity cooking, communicate effectively in English (conversational Spanish helpful), intermediate computer skills (Internet, Excel, Word), and point‑of‑sale system usage.
Licenses & CertificationsServ Safe certification.
Commitment to DiversityDemonstrate sensitivity to diverse backgrounds of students, staff and community.
Physical EffortWalking, standing, light lifting up to 25 lb; dexterity in operating equipment.
Working ConditionsFood service environments: wet floors, small storage, hot products, hot/cold climate areas.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesPaid vacation: 22 days annually; paid sick leave: 12 days annually. Health and welfare benefits for employees and qualifying dependents.
