Overview
The Riverside University Health System Behavioral Health Department is recruiting a Registered Nurse II (III, IV) to join the Resident Education Clinic in Riverside. The RN will provide direct patient support, collaborate with the Psychiatry Resident Program, and assist with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatments. Prior experience with TMS is highly desirable.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, organize, and provide nursing care to assigned patients in accordance with physician instructions.
- Assist physicians in administering treatments and performing medical examinations, diagnostic tests, and surgical operations.
- Administer prescribed treatments and medications, chart patient progress, and report significant changes in condition.
- Counsel and advise patients, families, and significant others regarding medical problems and appropriate healthcare methods.
- Instruct patients in carrying out physician orders and transcribe orders to working records.
- Provide orientation and training to new staff, residents, medical students, and nursing students.
- Participate in quality assurance reviews; act as a team leader or relief charge nurse.
- Assign and monitor the work of subordinate nursing personnel; participate in committee activities.
- Triage patients by reviewing admission charts and merging patients into the clinic flow at the appropriate time.
- Coordinate and monitor patients through the hospitalization process to maintain quality care and fiscal responsibility.
- Review post‑hospital care plans with patients/families; follow up on discharge plans.
- Other duties as assigned in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
- Valid California Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Valid California driver’s license.
- Completion of one year as a Registered Nurse in an acute care hospital, mental health setting, or outpatient clinic.
- Experience with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in dynamic environments.
9/80 schedule:
Monday – Thursday 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM, alternating Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

Registered Nurse II: $95,786.89 – $
