Job Summary
RN Float Pool II Stepdown ICU – Riverside Community Hospital. Experienced Float Pool Registered Nurse responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating nursing care for patients in pre, intra, and post‑operative periods. Serves as team leader for on‑call emergencies and monitors nursing staff during procedures.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement individual patient care plans according to nursing practice standards.
- Administer medications, demonstrating knowledge of drug modes of action, side effects, and contraindications.
- Initiate, regulate, and manage IV therapy for assigned patients.
- Determine patient placement on the unit and assign care responsibilities considering care complexity.
- Demonstrate competence in clinical knowledge, skills, and technology used in the department.
- Evaluate patient environment for safety and communicate concerns promptly.
- Provide patient education and keep patients informed of treatment plans.
- Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
- Valid California RN license.
- Current ACLS certification required.
- Current BCLS certification required.
- National RN certification preferred.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum of one year of acute care hospital experience (specialty preferred).
