Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week night shift travel assignment in California with a valid CA RN license and required certifications.

• Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Patient population includes all ages and levels of emergency cases
• Night shift schedule from 7:00PM to 7:30AM
• 13-week contract assignment
• No local candidates accepted per 50 mile radius rule
• Responsibilities include triage, emergent patient care, and rapid response participation
• Must be able to document and communicate effectively within a fast-paced environment
• Compliance with hospital's dress code and orientation policies is required
• Assignment does not consider first-time travelers
• All certifications must be valid through at least the first 30 days of the contract

• Active and current CA RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years recent clinical experience in the Emergency Department
• Current AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS, NIH Stroke Scale, and TNCC certifications required
• CPI or equivalent approved de-escalation training required for ER units
• No employment history gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required
• Professional reference required for consideration
