Keep Riverside Clean & Beautiful (KRCB) is a community-driven volunteer program funded by the City of Riverside’s Public Works Department and administered through the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce. Since 1992, KRCB has inspired thousands of volunteers to take part in hands‑on projects that prevent litter, eradicate graffiti, clean waterways, and enhance public spaces. The Senior Project Coordinator is a key leader within KRCB’s dynamic team, responsible for overseeing major programs, coordinating signature events, and driving community engagement through marketing and partnerships. This role ensures smooth operations, strategic outreach, and impactful volunteer experiences that strengthen Riverside’s beauty and pride.
Reports to:
Executive Director, Keep Riverside Clean & Beautiful and President/CEO, Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce.
- Coordinate KRCB Advisory Board meetings (5 annually).
- Manage partnerships such as Ability Counts within the Adopt‑a‑Street program.
- Track and maintain financials for Adopt‑a‑Street and Adopt‑an‑Alley programs.
- Plan & Execute Signature Initiatives:
- Annual Beautification Awards at the Mayor’s State of the City Address (January).
- Clean Campus Competition and Art Contest (Spring).
- Community Recognition Program during Great American Cleanup (May).
- Coordinate Public Education Program (PEP) for Graffiti (6 sessions annually).
- Create marketing materials and manage social media campaigns across platforms.
- Solicit sponsor ships and partnerships through presentations and community engagement.
- Lead and optimize the organization’s digital platforms.
- Develop and maintain project tracking systems.
- Support Project Coordinator at all events.
- Prepare monthly reporting to Public Works and maintain project tracking systems.
- Perform additional responsibilities and assignments as requested by the Executive Director and President/CEO.
- Excellent oral and written communication and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with local community and regional economy preferred.
- Experienced in social media engagement, email campaigns (Constant Contact), and basic graphic design.
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Enjoy working outdoors with community volunteers of all ages.
- Skilled at managing multiple programs and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to work as a member of a team or independently with limited supervision.
- Event planning experience preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must have proven experience in budget management and financial tracking.
- Brings fresh ideas for events, outreach, and partnerships.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a professional environment preferred.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. without difficulty.
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record (must be able to drive KRCB van).
- Requires Saturday work for scheduled beautification projects and occasional evening events.
