Position Overview

The Line Mechanic will:

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Aerosol Filling Machines to ensure optimal production efficiency and quality output.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on Conveyors, Indexing Equipment, Label and Coding Machines to identify and address any potential issues.
  • Perform repairs, adjustments, and replacements of faulty components or parts on the production machinery to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure seamless integration of machinery with overall production processes.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics to understand the structure and functionality of production equipment.
  • Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, such as mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic failures, using appropriate diagnostic tools.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts replacements, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new production machinery, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Train and mentor junior mechanics or operators on proper equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications or vocational training is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Production Mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment, with specific knowledge of Aerosol Filling Machines.
  • Proficiency in operating, troubleshooting, and repairing Conveyors, Indexing Equipment, Label and Coding Machines.
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings, manuals, and schematics to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic systems and their operation, including the ability to identify and repair pneumatic failures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and accuracy in maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with team members and provide clear instructions.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet production goals.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
Compensation and Schedule

The pay rate for this position is $22.00-$25.00 per hour for the day shift opening.

The Night shift hours are Monday through Thursday 5:00 pm - 3:30 am (4/10 schedule).
