Overview

The Manufacturing Manager leads the daily operations of our food production facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing processes. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership, and industry knowledge to deliver on production goals, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and foster a positive and productive team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee daily plant operations, ensuring production goals are met safely, on time, and within budget.

  • Drive compliance with all food safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including HACCP, GMP, OSHA, and environmental guidelines.

  • Manage, train, and develop plant staff to promote skill growth, safety awareness, and accountability.

  • Develop and monitor production schedules, adjusting resources as needed to meet customer demand.

  • Implement and sustain robust quality control measures across all production lines.

  • Partner with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.

  • Lead cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining product integrity and efficiency.

  • Oversee inventory control, ensuring optimal raw material usage and finished goods availability.

  • Analyze production metrics, identify trends, and implement process improvements through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, logistics, R&D, and senior leadership to support company objectives.

  • Maintain accurate records of production, safety, and compliance activities.

  • Contribute to strategic planning and operational decision-making at the leadership level.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in food processing or manufacturing leadership.

  • Deep knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations.

  • Demonstrated success managing large teams in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement practices.

  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and cost-control initiatives.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems, production technology, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Outstanding communication and leadership ability, with a track record of building high-performing teams.

  • Commitment to sustainability, safety, and operational excellence.
