A well-established manufacturing and construction-focused organization is seeking an experienced Credit Manager to lead its credit and collections operations. This direct-hire opportunity is ideal for a strategic, detail-driven professional who knows how to balance financial risk with long-term customer relationships in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
Hours & Pay
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Salary Range: $90,000-$150,000 annually
- Employment Type: Direct Hire
Reporting directly to executive leadership, the Credit Manager plays a critical role in supporting revenue growth while protecting the organization's financial health. This position oversees credit approvals, accounts receivable, collections strategy, and compliance with California lien laws, while leading and developing a credit team.
Daily Responsibilities
- Evaluate customer credit applications and establish appropriate credit limits and terms.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and manage collection efforts on past-due accounts.
- Oversee the issuance of preliminary notices, mechanics liens, and material releases in compliance with California regulations.
- Develop, implement, and enforce company credit and collection policie s.
- Negotiate payment plans and resolve billing discrepancies with customer s.
- Prepare credit, collections, and risk exposure reports as needed.
- Manage, train, and mentor credit and collections staff .
- Collaborate with sales and leadership to support growth while managing financial risk.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Credit Manager within manufacturing or construction environments.
- In-depth knowledge of California preliminary notice and mechanics lien laws.
- Experience managing credit for large-scale B2B customers and big-box retailers.
- Familiarity with EDI processes and enterprise ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.
- Proven ability to balance risk management with customer relationship support.
