Position Overview

The Operations Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of a supply‑chain operation. The Operations Manager provides overall direction and oversight in performance, safety, P&L management, customer relations, continuous improvement, and associate development across multiple sites.

Location:

Riverside, CA.

Work Schedule:

Mon‑Fri. Travel: 25%.

Compensation

Annual salary $82,000–$85,000 plus performance‑based bonus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the operations of distribution, packaging, and transportation to achieve company objectives and meet customer expectations.
  • Evaluate overall operations and develop short and long‑term goals to meet organizational objectives.
  • Oversee all warehousing, distribution, packaging and transportation operations to ensure company and customer requirements are met.
  • Focus on continuous improvement and make decisions about enhancing value, service and effectiveness, and profitability.
  • Direct and oversee programs to ensure safety of all associates, equipment and property.
  • Ensure compliance with all company, customer, and government regulatory requirements.
  • Directly manage budget and P&L for operations.
  • Develop work plans ensuring appropriate staffing levels, managing labor costs, overtime and retention.
  • Maximize quality and productivity by understanding and mastering all job standards for each function and evaluating performance variances to identify root cause, corrective action and training needs.
  • Participate in the collection of performance measurements per customer, vendor and/or site requirements.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports.
  • Deliver a consistent, high‑performance experience to our associates and customers.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of hands‑on people management experience in a warehouse/distribution environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and warehouse regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced and flexible environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or supply chain.
  • Bilingual.
  • 3PL industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Food grade warehousing experience.
