Position OverviewThe Operations Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of a supply‑chain operation. The Operations Manager provides overall direction and oversight in performance, safety, P&L management, customer relations, continuous improvement, and associate development across multiple sites.
Location & ScheduleLocation:
Riverside, CA.
Work Schedule:
Mon‑Fri. Travel: 25%.
Annual salary $82,000–$85,000 plus performance‑based bonus.
Key Responsibilities- Direct the operations of distribution, packaging, and transportation to achieve company objectives and meet customer expectations.
- Evaluate overall operations and develop short and long‑term goals to meet organizational objectives.
- Oversee all warehousing, distribution, packaging and transportation operations to ensure company and customer requirements are met.
- Focus on continuous improvement and make decisions about enhancing value, service and effectiveness, and profitability.
- Direct and oversee programs to ensure safety of all associates, equipment and property.
- Ensure compliance with all company, customer, and government regulatory requirements.
- Directly manage budget and P&L for operations.
- Develop work plans ensuring appropriate staffing levels, managing labor costs, overtime and retention.
- Maximize quality and productivity by understanding and mastering all job standards for each function and evaluating performance variances to identify root cause, corrective action and training needs.
- Participate in the collection of performance measurements per customer, vendor and/or site requirements.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports.
- Deliver a consistent, high‑performance experience to our associates and customers.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of hands‑on people management experience in a warehouse/distribution environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
- Knowledge of OSHA and warehouse regulatory requirements.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced and flexible environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or supply chain.
- Bilingual.
- 3PL industry experience strongly preferred.
- Food grade warehousing experience.
