We’re on an ambitious mission to double our business by 2027, and we need talented individuals to help us reach new heights. The role focuses on maintenance program compliance and work order scheduling including reactive and preventative maintenance for technical and non-technical components.

• Licensed trades (433A, 442A, 309A): $40.25/hr - $45.25/hr

• Demonstrate and uphold Riverside Natural Food’s Core Values.
• Understand and lead compliance with both Health and Safety and Food Safety practices.
• Attend breakdown calls. Independently troubleshoot and resolve both mechanical and electrical issues.
• Escalate recurring problems to supervisor and work on eliminating them.
• Perform minor repairs, equipment setup, change over, overhaul, fabrication as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment including food mixer, slab forming machine, horizontal wrapper, robotic pick and place system, case packer, tunnel oven, conveyors, etc.
• Provide technical assistance / advice in Preventive Maintenance optimization effort.
• Assist outside contractors and ensure GMP policies are being adhered to.
• Record work performed, data for analysis, spare parts used, and maintain clean working areas in accordance with established maintenance processes.
• Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping and safety.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor

• Minimum 5 years of experience as Millwright Mechanic, Maintenance Technician or Electrician
• Certified NOC 7311 or Red Seal Millwright Mechanics or Provincial Electricians Ticket (433A, 442A, 309D)
• Experience with equipment such as vertical/horizontal wrappers, robotics pick and place, and tunnel ovens is an asset
• Knowledge of PLC, robotics, HMIs, and controls (Allen Bradley) preferred
• Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics
• Hands-on experience with power transmission systems, electric and electronic controls, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, welding, brazing, soldering, servo and electric motors, lubrication systems
• Proven machining skills using lathes, milling, and drill press
• Rigging and hoisting experience is an asset
• Flexibility to work afternoons and weekends
