Job Description
As USIC continues to grow, we’re excited to announce our expansion into California! To help us build a strong foundation in this new market, we’re seeking a select group of our top-performing technicians who are interested in relocating to support our customers and help establish operations in these new areas.
We understand that relocation is a significant decision, and we’re committed to providing support, including lump sum relocation assistance of $7,500 to ensure a smooth move.
Pay for these positions ranges from $24.00 to $34.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities- Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities. Experience with cable and telecommunications is a must.
- Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing the necessary documentation, and photographing each locate.
- No final written warnings within the last 12 months
- Satisfactory attendance record
- Quality score of 7 or above
- Driving score of 70 or above (per Samsara app)
- Minimum of 6 months tenure with USIC
- Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Computer proficiency
- Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
- Able to work in a confined space; walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
- Able to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.
- Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, as well as maps and prints.
- Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
* This relocation package is contingent on signing a relocation agreement, which outlines eligibility and terms.
