Overview

Trial and Appellate law firm, with social justice philosophy, seeking a licensed attorney for a litigation/civil associate position to join the team and grow with the firm. Starting salary ranges are provided below. Health insurance available. The firm leads a civil team and manages cases and court appearances, trials, depositions, and related work in federal and state court.

Starting salary: $80,000–$105,000 (DOE).
Health insurance available.

Additional compensation: $70,000–$95,000 (DOE) starting salary per year plus a commission from generated cases to start.

• Lead the Civil Team and manage cases and court appearances, including trials and depositions, in federal and state courts.
• Produce high-quality written work including letters, pleadings, motions, and correspondence; conduct reliable legal research and client/witness intake notes.
• Conduct client and witness interviews utilizing effective questioning and critical thinking skills.
• Prepare and conduct hearings and discovery; assist with trial preparation.
• Analyze complex issues and identify the best solutions to specific problems.
• Travel to state and federal courts across southern California and on periodic statewide and out-of-state assignments.

• Energetic, career-minded, and compassionate; disciplined, organized, independent, reliable, and detail-oriented.
• Aggressive yet compassionate approach; progressive attitude; ability to work with diverse staff and clientele.

• Licensed attorney with trial and appellate experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel statewide and beyond as needed.
