Position: Elections Assistant

Location: Riverside, CA

Pay: $20/hour

Experience: Customer service experience involving public interaction, obtaining and recording information, or explaining policies and procedures required; must be bilingual in Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese, Cantonese, Hmong, Japanese, Punjabi, Urdu, or Thai.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

HB Staffing is seeking an Elections Assistant to join a growing and dynamic team!

• Perform data entry for voter registration cards and election records.
• Verify vote-by-mail documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Answer inbound calls and assist voters and candidates.
• Proofread candidate statements and ballot information for translation accuracy.
• Provide bilingual support in written and verbal communications.
• Explain election procedures, rules, and policies to the public.
• Support election operations within the Registrar of Voters' office.

• Strong bilingual reading, writing, proofreading, and speaking skills.
• Proficiency in both English and the designated second language.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle repetitive tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
• Professional communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
