Medical Assistant

Overview

Riverside Primary Care Clinic seeks a bilingual Medical Assistant (not required) to work in our Riverside, CA office. The candidate will support the Health Care Provider by taking vitals, assisting in medical examinations, and performing duties related to the Medical Assistant role.

Riverside Primary Care Clinic is a new clinic focused on providing high quality health care and improving lives in Southwestern Riverside County and surrounding areas.

• Prepare patients for consult and assist the Doctor with examinations and/or procedures.
• Take patient vital signs and obtain intake information; enter vitals into the EMR.
• Perform clinical procedures such as blood draws, vaccines, nebulizer treatments, ear lavages, or EKGs.
• Perform laboratory and screening tests performed in a medical office, such as visual acuity, audiometric screening, Snellen tests, and spirometry tests.
• Communicate effectively with patients to determine needs and provide education and resources.
• Ensure exam rooms are stocked, cleaned, and set up for examinations and procedures as directed by the Doctor.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• 4 years in a fast-paced clinical office environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical laboratory procedures, healthcare operations, and workflow.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Experience using an EMR system.
