Position: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Position Summary:

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is responsible for delivering high-quality behavioral health services to individuals and families within the Riverside community. This role provides clinical assessment, counseling, case management, and referral services to support the emotional and social well-being of participants enrolled in RCHF programs. The LCSW collaborates closely with program staff, community partners, and clinical providers to ensure culturally competent, trauma-informed, and accessible care.

The LCSW supports the Foundation’s mission to improve community health outcomes by expanding mental health access, reducing health disparities, and promoting whole-person care.

Responsibilities
  • Clinical Services:
    Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment approaches.
  • Clinical Services:
    Conduct psychosocial assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress in accordance with professional standards.
  • Clinical Services:
    Provide crisis intervention and safety planning as needed.
  • Clinical Services:
    Maintain appropriate, confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policy.
  • Clinical Services:
    Coordinate referrals to community partners, medical providers, and external behavioral health agencies.
  • Care Coordination & Case Management:
    Screen participants for behavioral health needs, risk factors, and social determinants of health.
  • Care Coordination & Case Management:
    Support clients in navigating community resources, including housing, food assistance, transportation, and social support services.
  • Care Coordination & Case Management:
    Partner with internal program teams to integrate behavioral health services into RCHF programs.
  • Care Coordination & Case Management:
    Advocate for participant needs while promoting self-determination and empowerment.
  • Community Program Support:
    Provide subject-matter expertise in behavioral health across programs and initiatives.
  • Community Program Support:
    Participate in community outreach, educational workshops, and health events.
  • Community Program Support:
    Collaborate with grant-funded programs to meet performance measures and reporting requirements.
  • Community Program Support:
    Participate in program development, reporting, and evaluation activities as required by funding sources.
  • Compliance & Professional Standards:
    Maintain active LCSW licensure in the State of California.
  • Compliance & Professional Standards:
    Adhere to ethical guidelines set by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
  • Compliance & Professional Standards:
    Follow RCHF policies, privacy standards, and grant compliance requirements.

    Participate in regular supervision, staff meetings, and professional development.
Qualifications
  • Required
  • Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Current California licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in good standing.
  • 2+ years of experience providing clinical counseling or case management services.
  • Experience working with diverse and underserved populations.
  • Training in trauma-informed care, crisis management, and evidence-based interventions.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a community health setting.
  • Experience working in community-based agencies, nonprofits, or public health settings.
  • Knowledge of local behavioral health systems and navigation resources.
  • Experience with Medi-Cal billing, EHR documentation, or program reporting.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with a diverse community population
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; self-motivated
  • Professional demeanor and high degree of organizational skill.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain poise and exercise diplomacy in contacts with partners, visitors, and fellow workers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and program data systems.
  • Ability to set goals and to work toward meeting those goals in an organized manner
