Senior Clinical Therapist

LPCC, LMFT or LCSW

Quality Improvement - Outpatient
Riverside, CA

Must have a valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist issued by the California State Board of Behavioral Science.

The Riverside University Health System's Behavioral Health department has an opening for a Senior Clinical Therapist with the Quality Improvement - Outpatient team in Riverside, CA. The Quality Improvement – Outpatient office provides oversight and review of all Mental Health clinics and Managed Care providers providing services to our beneficiaries. The office handles problems, complaints, and/or grievances and assures program compliance with state and federal regulations.

Quality Improvement monitors the overall performance of the system through data collection, reporting, and analysis; developing goals and standards; and providing information to improve processes and the overall efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery. The Senior Clinical Therapist will oversee the quality assurance and utilization review processes for the department. Duties include monitoring adherence to state and federal regulations, conducting clinical and administrative reviews of county and contracted providers, coordinating with DHCS for state audits and reviews, facilitating staff trainings on clinical practices, and providing technical assistance to staff.

This position requires a 9/80 schedule and some driving; a California driver’s license is required.

We are looking for candidates who

  • Are Licensed professionals (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC)
  • Have a minimum of two years post-licensure experience
  • Have strong computer and organizational skills
  • Have supervisory/lead experience

For this recruitment the position is eligible for a 10% DTR differential that is applied to hours physically worked. At any time, this differential can be removed.

• Provide extensive clinical supervision to unlicensed clinicians within the scope of licensure.

• Monitor fidelity and provide clinical supervision and coaching for evidence-based treatment models.

• Develop mental health related training curriculum and conduct training for clinical therapists and other departmental staff.

• Act as a casework consultant to other clinical therapists and other departmental staff.

• Provide guidance to volunteers and staff.

• Interview consumers, relatives, and other involved persons to gather data relevant to assessing mental or emotional disorders.
