What You Will Do to Change Lives

The Certified Peer Recovery Coach I engages, inspires, and facilitates meaningful conversations with members served that assist the members to explore, create, and meet their own recovery goals. Peer Recovery Coaches provide consultation to the team to promote and reinforce Telecare's Recovery Culture as defined by the Telecare Recovery Centered Clinical System (RCCS) in which each member's point of view and preferences are recognized, understood, respected, and integrated into services and self‑help programming.

Additionally, Peer Recovery Coaches respond to critical situations with high‑level engagement and de‑escalation skills which support a least restrictive environment for members served experiencing an emergency related to a mental health/addiction challenge.

Shifts Available:
On Call positions only

Expected starting wage range is $21 - $21.58. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Certified Peer Support Specialist Certificate
  • One (1) year or part‑time equivalent of experience supporting members served with behavioral health challenges
  • Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care
  • Successful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training

As part of the Telecare family, the Telecare Western Riverside Mental Health Urgent Care will offer 24/7 voluntary treatment to adults ages 18 and above who are suffering a mental health crisis but wish to avoid a locked setting. The program will use a welcoming, home‑like environment to help assess the nature of the crisis, soothe and comfort the individual, and connect them with resources to avoid future crisis.

Services are recovery‑oriented, and will utilize a multi‑disciplinary team approach with a high level of peer‑to‑peer services.
