Position
Phlebotomist at AHMC Health Care
Responsibilities- Properly perform venipuncture on inpatients and outpatients.
- Disposes contaminated needles immediately upon completion of phlebotomy procedures.
- Completes timed draws, STAT, and ASAP orders before ending the shift.
- Strictly follows Hospital and Lab policies/procedures regarding patient care with special attention to isolation procedures.
- Assists in the orientation of new personnel as requested.
- Current California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certificate.
- Qualified as unlicensed personnel to perform venipuncture, skin puncture, and arterial puncture.
- One year of experience in an Acute Care hospital preferred.
