Riverside Regional Jail is currently accepting applications for Sergeant.
DutiesSupervises, directs, and evaluates subordinate staff. Prepares and submits required mandated Jail, State and/or Federal reports. Conducts inspections of their assigned area. Serves as a liaison between other departments, courts, or any other agency, as needed. Escorts inmates within and outside the facility. Schedules, prioritizes, and coordinates work in assigned area. Reviews files and conditions of all inmates assigned to area of responsibilities.
Performs additional duties or assignments by the Superintendent and/or Supervisor.
Must possess a high school or general education diploma with at least two (2) year’s experience in corrections with a public, private, or military agency. Any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
