Position Summary/ObjectiveThe Manufacturing Process Engineering Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, improving, and implementing production processes that increase workplace safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and reduce waste.
Primary Responsibilities- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs & Centerlines) to ensure consistency and adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Support day-to-day performance improvement at the facility (speed increase, stop reduction, scrap reduction, and labor efficiency improvement)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, quality, and maintenance, to identify and resolve issues that may impact production efficiency or quality and ensure successful implementation of new processes and equipment.
- Strong on-the-floor presence & technical aptitude to conduct process audits, understand equipment operation fundamentals, identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations for process optimization.
- Maintain and apply up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory requirements related to production processes.
- Lead teams through focused Kaizen events
- Create and maintain value stream maps (VSM), bottleneck analyses, and loss Pareto’s to identify priorities and opportunities for business growth.
- Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools to monitor and improve process performance.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in production, maintenance, or a process engineering role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
- Proficient computer skills, including and not limited to Microsoft Office, and familiarity working with ERP.
- Availability to travel to multiple sites and to observe and support the off shifts (PM & MN) as needed.
- Constant learner. Acquires and assimilates new information. Networks and builds relationships with other technical experts inside and outside the organization.
