We are currently seeking an Assistant Civil Engineer for our Water Resources department. We are looking for enthusiastic leaders with a water background who are committed to lifelong learning and expanding their knowledge of their discipline. This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
Salary: $73,000 – $116,800 per year.

Responsibilities- Assist in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater projects, pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs, and treatment facilities.
- Produce plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects.
- Assist in the preparation of various engineering reports, including alignment and feasibility studies, preliminary design reports, and master plans.
- Perform hydraulic modeling of water and sewer systems.
- Coordinate engineering tasks during project construction such as permitting issues, submittal reviews, survey coordination, and change order review.
- Design mechanical-related projects, including pumps, lift stations, wells, and treatment facilities, and prepare site grading plans.
- Support multiple design teams and project managers.
- Ability to produce drawings, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphic representations of engineering designs using CAD software.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and at least two years of experience on related projects.
- EIT preferred.
- Proficient in AutoCAD;
Civil 3D a plus. - Working knowledge of planning and construction documents.
- Excellent technical and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently on several concurrent projects.
- Ability to read, understand, and adapt to local agency standards and communicate with agencies and clients directly and effectively.
