Position Summary
California Baptist University is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) to deliver high‑quality instruction in our Part 107-focused curriculum. The successful candidate will design and teach courses related to drone operations, FAA regulations, safety protocols, and UAS mission execution, aligning with our mission to equip the next generation of aviation professionals.

Pay Range Qualifications Required- FAA Remote Pilot Certificate (Part 107) in good standing.
- Knowledge of FAA UAS regulations, airspace, and operational safety.
- bachelor’s degree in aviation, Engineering, or related field.
- Academic or industry experience in UAS operations.
- Master’s degree or higher.
- Teaching or instruction experience under Part 107 or in academia.
- Involvement in UAS programs (public safety, educational, or commercial mission‑based).
- Experience contributing to curriculum development or student mentoring.
- Teach undergraduate courses in UAS operations, FAA Part 107 regulations, flight planning, system architecture, and mission strategies.
- Develop or revise syllabus and instructional materials in line with FAA compliance and departmental standards.
- Supervise flight labs or simulation training, oversee student drone training flights.
- Provide timely grading, academic feedback, and mentorship to students.
- Serve as a professional and academic role model aligned with CBU’s Christian mission.
