Role Overview

The Teaching Assistant Development Program Specialist is responsible for management of the Teaching Assistant Development Program (TADP) within Graduate Division while incorporating inclusive teaching practices, digital pedagogy, and AI-supported instructional strategies. Under the direction of the Grad Success Director, the Specialist is responsible for initial and ongoing training and pedagogical support for UCR graduate student Teaching Assistants (TAs).

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver mandatory New TA Orientations.
  • Provide quarterly continuing training for under‑performing TAs.
  • Facilitate pedagogy workshops.
  • Oversee the annual TA teaching awards.
  • Collaborate with other departments on maintaining the student teaching evaluation system.
  • Maintain detailed records.
  • Provide program support for marketing, data analysis, and assessment.
  • Manage and facilitate the University Teaching Certificate Program.
Compensation

The full salary range for the Teaching Assistant Development Program Manager is $66,500 - $118,300 annually. The expected pay scale for this position is up to $78,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Requirements

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
