The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of California invites applicants for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor position in Experimental Biophysics to conduct applied research at UCR in Riverside, CA. This position begins on July 1, 2025. The successful candidate will use physics-inspired techniques to study biological systems, from single molecules to cellular processes. They are expected to establish an outstanding research program involving graduate students and postdoctoral scientists, and contribute to departmental teaching at all levels.
UCR is a distinguished research university with a diverse undergraduate population. The salary ranges from $78,200 to $101,400, with potential off-scale adjustments based on qualifications and market conditions. Basic qualifications include a Ph.D. in physics or a related field by the Final date to receive applications.
