Job OverviewThe Regional Manager cultivates a culture of collaboration across feeder sets of middle and high schools to advance the mission of California GEAR UP. This role provides regional leadership, coordination, and accountability to ensure services are accessible, aligned to school and district goals, and positioned for long-term sustainability.
The Regional Manager oversees and supports Educational Services Coordinators (ESCs) and Student Success Teams, ensuring high-quality implementation and continuous improvement across the region.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with school and district leaders to align California GEAR UP services with site goals, SPSA, LCAP, and college and career readiness priorities.
- Lead monthly school leadership meetings and facilitate regional collaboration to monitor progress, address implementation needs, and strengthen feeder set alignment.
- Provide regional leadership to Student Success Teams, including Educational Services Coordinators (ESCs).
- Coordinate regional service delivery with Learning & Impact Teams and project partners to ensure cohesive, high-quality implementation across schools.
- Support ESC supervision processes, including scheduling coordination, performance feedback, and alignment with statewide expectations.
- Monitor implementation using dashboards and documentation, and prepare monthly regional updates to inform continuous improvement and decision-making.
- Master’s degree in Education, Educational Administration, or Educational Leadership (Required)
- Experience in both teaching and leadership roles at a public middle or high school (Required)
- Experience as a principal or assistant principal (Preferred)
- Experience supporting college access, readiness, or postsecondary transitions (Preferred)
- Minimum four years of experience coordinating or managing secondary, postsecondary, or college access programs
- Strong understanding of K–16 educational pathways and initiatives
- Demonstrated commitment to expanding opportunity and success for low-income and historically underserved students
- Strong collaboration, facilitation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently while working as part of a regional and statewide team
- Advanced writing and communication skills for reports, presentations, and correspondence
Hybrid remote in Riverside, specifically Jurupa Valley and Moreno Valley, California
