The Jabs School of Business is ACBSP‑Accredited, with a student body of over 1,900 students, 28 full‑time faculty, and 3 support staff. It prepares high‑quality business leaders and offers both undergraduate and graduate programs.
Position DescriptionThe Dean is the chief academic officer and administrative head of the school, holding academic rank. Responsibilities include administration, academic leadership, and supervision of instructional programs, research, publications, and service activities. The Dean must be a visionary with entrepreneurial mindset, execute a strategic plan, collaborate with the Provost and other university officers on policy and strategic planning, represent the school internally and in the wider community, and lead fundraising and development efforts.
ReportingThe Dean reports directly to the Provost/Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and serves on the Provost’s Council.
CompensationPay range: $175,000 – $210,000 annually, varying with qualifications and market conditions. In addition to wages, CBU offers a robust suite of employee benefits.
QualificationsRequired qualifications:
- A demonstrated mature Christian faith aligned with CBU’s foundation as a Christian institution committed to the Great Commission.
- An earned doctorate degree from an accredited institution in a field related to the work of the Jabs School of Business.
- Progressive administrative experience in higher education.
- Knowledge of accreditation bodies.
- Outstanding record of leadership and service to the community.
- Outstanding record of academic activities including university teaching, research, external funding, and service.
