Senior Estimator

Compensation: $150,000 to $200,000 depending on experience plus bonus and benefits

A growing commercial general contractor with a strong presence throughout California is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager / Senior Estimator to support expanding operations in the Riverside market. The company has built a reputation for delivering complex public and private sector projects and continues to see strong demand across healthcare, education, and commercial markets.

This role will play a key part in leading preconstruction efforts, developing accurate cost estimates, and collaborating with project teams from concept through construction
. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in public works estimating with experience in sectors such as healthcare, DSA schools, and large commercial facilities
.

• Lead preconstruction and estimating efforts for commercial and public works projects
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate cost estimates
• Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and GMP estimates
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and subcontractor bid analysis
• Develop project budgets, cost models, and value engineering options
• Manage subcontractor outreach and bid solicitation
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and leadership during project planning
• Participate in client meetings and preconstruction presentations
• Maintain cost databases and historical pricing information
• Support schedule reviews and logistics planning during preconstruction

• Public works construction
• Healthcare facilities and OSHPD or hospital related projects
• DSA school and education projects

• 7 to 15 plus years of commercial construction estimating experience
• Experience estimating public works projects strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of conceptual budgeting and preconstruction strategy
• Ability to interpret construction documents and specifications
• Experience working with subcontractor markets throughout Southern California
• Proficiency with estimating software and construction management tools
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with project teams
