Salary Range: $80,000 - $92,000 Annually

General Description

The Litigation Legal Secretary provides comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to firm standards. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in legal documentation and office technology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare and revise legal documents, correspondence, memoranda, and emails from written drafts and transcription.
  • Assemble documents and exhibits for court filings, hearings, arbitrations, mediations, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
  • Proofread all materials to ensure accuracy and compliance with firm formatting standards.
  • Manage incoming mail and emails; sort, print, and distribute appropriately.
  • Schedule appointments and meetings for attorneys.
  • Maintain and monitor calendars for deadlines; ensure critical dates are recorded on the master calendar.
  • Utilize computer and transcription equipment to produce legal documents and correspondence.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Arrange attorney travel, including hotel, airline, and transportation bookings.
  • Assist in preparing marketing materials such as pitch folders, attorney biographies, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Prior experience as a litigation legal secretary.
  • Strong typing, reading, and writing skills for document preparation and proofreading.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with document management systems (e.g., iManage).
  • Ability to type at least 70 WPM.
  • Excellent organizational skills to prioritize workflow for multiple attorneys.
  • Professional communication skills for interaction with clients, attorneys, vendors, and staff.
  • Ability to operate office equipment, including computers, transcription devices, fax machines, and advanced photocopier functions.
