Area Supervisor – General PurposeAs a member of Store Leadership, the Area Supervisor is responsible for opening and closing the store, supervising associates, maintaining a friendly environment, ensuring proper merchandise presentation, and performing all necessary operational processes.
Essential Functions- Safety & Security
Practice safe behaviors, monitor the sales floor for safety, report unsafe conditions, secure building access, maintain EAS devices, test fire alarms, and respond to alarms.
- Customer Service
Treat all customers, associates, and leaders with respect, demonstrate courtesy, and recognize associates.
- Store Presentation
Maintain the store’s appearance, enforce the dress code, keep the store clean, and perform daily trash removal.
- Merchandising
Ensure markdowns, receiving, processing, and placement of merchandise meet company standards; manage stockroom cleanliness; assist with floor moves and promotional signs.
- Loss Prevention
Maintain a strong loss‑prevention presence, safeguard confidential information, use PVM and conduct package inspections, and execute best practices.
- Front‑End Operations
Execute best practices on the front end, train associates, control break schedules, ensure equipment functions, maintain supplies, and train on “Scan & Bag.”
- Fitting Rooms
Maintain cleanliness, audit garment tags, ensure go‑back compliance and proper tagging.
- Administrative Duties
Handle cash pulls, bank deposits, refund approval, payroll edits, associate scheduling, and other store‑manager tasks.

- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
- Familiarity with point‑of‑sale equipment and applications.
- Basic math skills for retail calculations.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
- Use equipment including PDTs, registers, PC.
- Spending up to 100% standing, walking, moving.
- Regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, stoop.
- Occasional lift >25 lbs; stockroom shifts >20 lbs.
- Use janitorial equipment, rollers, ladders as needed.
Retail associates and stockroom leads (where applicable).
