NDT X-Ray Technician (Radiographic Testing) - L1, L2, or L3 On-Site | Manufacturing Environment
$22-$39/hr Based On Experience
A client of ours is seeking a NDT X-Ray Technician to perform radiographic inspection of castings and manufactured components to verify quality and compliance with customer and industry standards. This role involves operating X-ray equipment, evaluating film or digital images, identifying defects, and documenting inspection results.
The ideal candidate has experience in radiographic testing, understands applicable codes and specifications, and can work independently while maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Perform radiographic (X-ray) inspection of castings and components using approved techniques
- Evaluate films/images to identify defects such as cracks, porosity, inclusions, and lack of fusion
- Ensure proper documentation, labeling, and filing of X-ray results
- Calibrate and verify inspection equipment as required
- Accurately track work orders and inspection quantities
- Follow customer specifications, internal procedures, and quality standards
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
- Perform basic rework such as grinding, sanding, or flash removal when needed
- Complete required routing and inspection documentation
- NDT Level I, Level II, or Level III Radiographic Testing certification
- Experience inspecting castings or manufactured components preferred
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, procedures, and inspection standards
- Strong attention to detail and quality mindset
