Retail Sales Associate

We are seeking entry-level, full-time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate to join our First Cash pawn store locations nationwide. The role partners with the store team to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides, greeting and engaging customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions. Associates work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (where allowed by law and store policy).

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open and close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Effectively communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and teamwork.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Successfully completes the assigned training.
• Other related duties, as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to stand for extended periods, including walking, bending, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified (where applicable).
• May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products stored in exterior areas.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers, work with people, and be a team player.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and standard office machines.

Pay rate is $14.00 to $17.00 per hour. The role offers an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction processed. Retail sales associates can earn up to 8% commission on transactions, which could average an additional amount on top of your hourly rate.

  Most stores open 9 AM to 6 PM; many stores are closed on Sundays.
