SUMMARY

Quality Control Inspector ensures that all materials are inspected and received into the ERP system prior to being available to warehousing. Any non‑conforming issues are addressed to appropriate management. The inspector maintains authority to accept or reject products as necessary and ensures causes are identified, and that follow‑up activities occur with responsible vendors to minimize impact and prevent recurrence. The inspector participates in continuous improvement activities to drive improvements in quality effectiveness, and promotes a quality mindset throughout the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Ensures receiving inspections and paperwork are performed in a timely manner.
  • Assists with the Camfil Calibration program.
  • Controls open Return Goods Authorization (RGA).
  • Receives, reviews and file Vendor Certificates of Compliance / Certificates of Analysis.
  • Assures processes and documentation are recorded accurately.
  • Generates non‑conformance reports for manufactured and purchased materials.
  • Updates CSR quality program as required.
  • Maintains upkeep of material preservation program.
  • Controls and monitors Quality hold products.
  • Reads and interprets documents such as safety rules, shop orders, product specifications, engineering drawings and contract reviews.
  • Is available for daily/weekly overtime.
  • Participates in cross‑training in other positions within the facility based on business needs.
  • Completes special projects and other duties as assigned. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education:

    BA/BS from an accredited school preferred, Minimum High School Diploma.
  • Minimum Years of

    Experience:

    5-10 years in quality and/or regulatory field.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills.
  • Must possess good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of ISO‑9001.
  • Basic skills in mathematics and statistics.
  • Trained in auditing techniques (will train if necessary).
  • Familiar with measuring tools such as:
    • Calipers
    • Micrometers
    • Tape Measures
    • Taper Gauge
  • Must be able to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to office, warehouse, and plant environments. The work environment will require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain areas. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
