DuBois Integrity Academy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 3rd and 4th Grade Reading/Social Studies Teachers to join our academic team. The ideal candidates will have a passion for teaching reading and social studies, an ability to engage young learners, and a commitment to meeting state standards while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state reading and social studies standards and curriculum guidelines.
- Utilize diverse teaching strategies to meet the varying needs of students.
- Incorporate technology and hands‑on activities to enhance learning.
- Regularly assess student progress using formative and summative assessments.
- Analyze assessment data to identify learning gaps and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and document student progress for reporting and improvement purposes.
- Establish and maintain a safe, positive, and productive learning environment.
- Implement effective classroom management techniques to promote respectful and responsible behavior.
- Use proactive strategies to prevent disruptive behavior and handle challenges constructively.
- Build strong relationships with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on student progress and communicate any concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Participate in professional development sessions to stay current with educational trends and best practices.
- Contribute to school‑wide events and activities.
- Support extracurricular math initiatives and enrichment programs as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, History, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Valid teaching certification/license for the appropriate grade levels.
- Proven experience in elementary education, preferably in teaching reading and/or social studies.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to effectively analyze data to inform instructional practices.
- A collaborative mindset with a commitment to continuous professional growth.
