This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Information Technology (OIT), Enterprise Systems Solutions Group (ESSG), Division of Medicare Systems Support (DMSS). As a IT Program Manager (Data Management/Data Science), GS-2210-13, you will provide technical expertise to accomplish analysis of options and development of the design for advanced data systems, software, and complex programming specifications.
Duties- Serve as a senior IT Program Manager and advisor to leadership in leading and coordinating the efforts of CMS professionals and contractors in solving complex data management issues and problems for a wide range of systems.
- Consult with customers and applies analytical processes to the planning, design, and implementation of new and improved information systems to meet the business requirements of customer organizations.
- Provide technical advice in the development and analysis of pilot initiatives and applications, and makes recommendations to management on the use of such technology as it relates to CMS data.
- Serve as a resource and leader to Federal and contractor staff on formulating, planning, implementing, managing, tracking, and evaluating large scale and complex data management projects and their associated requirements and risks.
- Furnish expert technical advice and recommendations on major problem areas in assigned fields of specialization.
