Job Summary
You are born to lead. Flourish by supervising a team, ensuring policies are followed, managing costs, inventory, cash, and customer relations. This role offers an opportunity to grow from assistant manager to general manager and ultimately to franchise ownership.
- Oversee every aspect of store operations during your shift, including cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures, setting an example for the crew.
- Handle staffing, scheduling, paperwork, and overall store profitability.
- Ensure a clean, well-marketed, and safe store environment while driving marketing and promotional initiatives.
- Assist in general store duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing orders, taking inventory, and daily equipment and facility cleaning.
- Coordinate delivery operations, including navigating designated delivery areas and ensuring correct product handling.
- Perform appropriate human resource functions – attendance, punctuality and inventory control.
- Provide mentorship and development opportunities to team members.
- Orientation and on-the‑job training provided.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for customer and crew interactions.
- Proficient in basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and monetary change management.
- Fast, accurate keyboard or touchscreen order entry.
- Navigation skills, including reading maps and handling adverse terrain.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands for precise, rapid movements.
- Ability to operate the store’s equipment and maintain a safe working environment.
- Stand, walk, and occasionally sit for extended periods.
- Lift 30–50 lbs (cases of ingredients or supplies) and carry 12–30 lbs of pizza or related items.
- Push or pull trays on dollies and navigate ladders or stairs during deliveries.
- Operate in varying temperatures, from 36°F in coolers to >90°F in food prep areas.
- Exposed to food fumes, cornmeal dust, and high temperatures from ovens and tools.
Assistants may progress to general manager, then to franchise ownership or corporate operations. This career ladder supports long‑term professional growth.
