Controller | Wholesale & Distribution (Full time, on site)

Compensation:

Bonus: 10%-30% based on hitting EBITDA thresholds.

The Bazaar, Inc. is a 65-year-old, family-owned wholesale and distribution company operating in a fast-moving, inventory-driven environment. We partner with some of the largest off-price and discount retailers in the country—and we are actively investing in systems, process, and financial discipline to support our next phase of growth.

We are seeking a hands-on, technically strong Controller to own our accounting, reporting, and financial operations. This is a senior, visible role with real responsibility, direct leadership access, and meaningful impact.

• Full monthly, quarterly, and annual close
• Financial statements, reporting, and GAAP compliance
• Inventory and cost accounting in a high-volume SKU environment
• Cash flow visibility and working capital discipline
• Payroll, benefits, HR-related financial processes, and insurance oversight
• Audit management and external partner coordination
• Accounting systems, ERP workflows, and internal controls
• Reporting and report creation on key metrics
• Leadership and development of the accounting team

• 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
• Prior Controller or senior accounting leadership experience
• Strong technical accounting and operational execution skills
• Experience in inventory-driven businesses (wholesale, distribution, CPG, retail)
• Deep understanding of cost accounting and inventory mechanics
• Comfort owning payroll, benefits, and insurance processes
• ERP experience strongly preferred
