Special Education Teacher (LBS1) – Illinois | School-Based Opportunity

Are you driven to make a lasting difference in the lives of students? We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered Special Education Teacher to support learners near River Grove, Illinois for the current academic year. This full-time, on-site position is ideal for an educator who values inclusive instruction and is committed to helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

In this role, you will provide individualized and small-group instruction designed to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities. You will develop and implement standards-aligned lessons tailored to each learner’s strengths, deliver accommodations and modifications that ensure access to the curriculum, and monitor progress using data-driven strategies. Your work will directly support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) while maintaining compliance with state and district guidelines.

Collaboration is key in this position. You will partner closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create a structured and encouraging learning environment where students feel confident and supported. Whether working in a resource or self-contained setting, your instruction will empower students to reach meaningful milestones.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education.
• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement.
• Previous experience in instructional support or self-contained classroom settings preferred.
