Assistant General Manager

Job Description

· Job Summary

• Inventory Management
  • Order on par for breakfast items, paper products, laundry chemicals, and in-room amenity supplies. Over time, overseeing linen inventories.
• On-call status shared with General Manager.
• Scheduling all staff successfully; attention to maximizing staff satisfaction and organization while minimizing errors.
• Group Sales
  • Communication with group coordinators to negotiate pricing, discuss additional booking incentives offered by Country Inn River Falls, and execute group set-up within PMS.
• Inspect rooms and insure cleanliness and maintenance goals are met.
• · Maintain, evaluate, and motivate staff with General Manager

Expectations

· A minimum of two scheduled shifts covering the desk, May – October

· A minimum of four scheduled shifts covering the desk, November – April

· Management of daily hotel operations

· Management of hotel personnel

o On call status

o Shift coverage

o Training new hires

o New hire paperwork

o Hiring and terminating of personnel

Benefits

· Annual salary

· 80 hours paid time off annually. PTO does not accrue year to year.
