Finishing Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift | Manufacturing
Our client is seeking a Finishing Production Supervisor to lead a high‑volume manufacturing team on 2nd shift, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality production. This role requires strong servant leadership, a safety‑first mindset, and the ability to coach and develop team members while driving continuous improvement across finishing operations.
Work Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 3:00PM–1:00AM (occasional Friday OT) | Metric Bonus + Shift Differential
Requirements:Safety Leadership
- Enforce OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards.
- Ensure proper PPE usage and safe work practices.
- Conduct safety audits and address non‑compliance promptly.
- Promote ergonomic practices and injury‑prevention behaviors.
- Lead and support team members in daily finishing operations.
- Maintain production schedules and meet operating metrics.
- Ensure proper training in safety, quality, equipment operation, and 6S.
- Partner with technical staff to resolve equipment or process issues.
- Reduce WIP and improve process flow.
- Foster a culture of Lean, Kaizen, and waste reduction.
- Empower team members to identify and implement improvements.
- Serve as first point of contact for employee concerns.
- Collaborate with union stewards on contract‑related matters.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
- Maintain respectful, consistent communication with all team members.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Set annual goals aligned with operating metrics.
- Support cross‑functional initiatives as needed.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong safety orientation and accountability.
- Ability to supervise, coach, and develop team members.
- Prior manufacturing supervision experience preferred.
- Strong communication, coaching, and team‑building skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- 1–3 years of manufacturing experience in a high‑volume environment.
- Basic understanding of Lean manufacturing (Kaizen, Kanban, process control, production scheduling)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, or related field (preferred)
- Frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional bending, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive motion.
- Exposure to noise, moving machinery, and industrial equipment.
