Bookkeeper

Description

We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our client in the Ripon area. This is a contract position that offers consistent hours initially, with the possibility of transitioning to part-time. The ideal candidate will excel in maintaining accurate financial records, handling customer transactions, and supporting essential bookkeeping functions.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare work orders and accurately convert them into invoices.

- Process client payments and ensure proper documentation.

- Manage accounts payable to ensure timely supplier payments.

- Handle payroll processing with precision and confidentiality.

- Calculate, file, and remit sales tax in compliance with regulations.

- Perform routine bank and credit card reconciliations.

- Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using Quick Books Online.

- Organize and preserve financial documentation for easy access.

- Support general clerical operations to enhance business efficiency.

Requirements

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles

- Proficiency in Quick Books Online and basic computer applications.

- Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic, customer-focused setting.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable processes.

- Experience with bank reconciliations and payroll management.

- Knowledge of sales tax calculations and filings.
