This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Warehouse Operative to join our small, friendly and supportive warehouse team. Your role will include:
- Managing inventory using warehouse management systems to track stock levels and locations
- Handling materials efficiently, including loading, unloading and moving stock within the warehouse
- Unloading and loading trailers regularly
- Stocking shelves and organising storage areas to optimise space utilisation
- Conducting stock checks to maintain high standards of accuracy
- Operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and effectively
- Ensuring health and safety protocols are always adhered to during daily operations
- Picking and packing orders using handheld warehouse devices with great attention to detail to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Working closely with other departments to maintain a high level of customer service
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Developing and maintaining a high level of product knowledge
The role involves being on your feet, handling boxes of stock and standing for long periods.
- Previous experience using advanced warehouse management systems – ASM / SAP an advantage
- Previous warehouse experience - a minimum of 2 years
- Have a positive work ethic with a reliable attendance record
- Proactive can-do attitude with the ability to identify ideas and suggestions for improvement
- Knowledge and experience of working with warehouse handheld picking devices
- Ability to work effectively on your own and within a team
- Show excellent attention to detail
- Strong willingness to learn our operations
- Be organised
- Competent Maths and English skills
- Basic IT skills
