A GP bank receptionist plays a vital role in managing the front desk and ensuring smooth operations in a healthcare setting.
Main duties of the job- Greeting Patients
:
Welcoming patients as they arrive, providing a friendly and professional first point of contact. - Appointment Scheduling
:
Managing the appointment booking system, scheduling patient visits, and ensuring accurate records. - Patient Registration
:
Collecting and updating patient information, ensuring confidentiality. - Communication
:
Answering phone calls, responding to queries, and directing calls to appropriate departments or practitioners. - Admin Support
:
Assisting with office tasks such as filing, data entry, and handling patient forms. - Billing and Payments
:
Assisting with billing inquiries and processing payments for services rendered

- Ability to communicate in a professional and caring manner
- Capable of dealing with sensitive or confidential matters
- Knowledge of medical terminology and prescription medications
- Experience of reception work
- Experience in a caring/medical background
