Optical Assistant Apprentice – Specsavers

We’re looking for a caring, motivated individual to start a career as an Optical Assistant Apprentice at Specsavers in Ripon. The role offers a full‑time apprenticeship of 15‑18 months, paid wages, and structured learning to become a fully equipped Optical Assistant.

• Salary – from £7.75 per hour, depending on experience
• Full time – 38.5 hours per week with weekend working

Your on‑the‑job training will sit alongside structured learning, and at the end of the apprenticeship you’ll be a fully‑fledged Optical Assistant.

• Grade 9‑4 (A*‑C) GCSEs in Maths (or equivalent/predicted result)
• Individuals who have lived in the EU for three years or more, with the right to work in the UK

• Welcoming customers into the store
• Booking eye tests
• Pre‑screening patients
• Providing style advice
• Measuring frames
• Taking phone calls
